The violin remains one of the most respected and expressive instruments in classical music, and at Muzikgarage, we approach it with the tradition and discipline it deserves. Our program emphasizes the classical method of learning—starting with proper posture, bowing technique, and ear training—ensuring a strong and accurate foundation. Students are introduced to the works of great composers and gradually progress through structured lessons that develop both technical skill and musical expression. This traditional approach not only builds confidence and precision but also instills a deep appreciation for the rich history of the instrument.

BEGINNER 

• Violin basics & posture
• Fundamentals of Bowing (Détaché, bow hold and control)
• Finger placement and intonation in the 1st position
• Reading Music Notation 
• Major scales and arpeggios (D, G & A)
• Etudes, Exercises, and simple hymns
• Basic Bowing Styles & Articulations (Legato, staccato, etc.)
• Rhythm & Aural Training
• Basic music theory
• Introduction to Vibrato & Pizzicato
• Practice Techniques Performance
• Instrument maintenance and tuning

INTERMEDIATE 

• Finger independence & shifting 2nd & 3rd positions
• Spiccato & martelé bowing
• Scales and arpeggios 
• Articulation, dynamics & phrasing
• Music theory (Circle of 5ths)
• Introduction to double stops & chords
• Rhythm & complex time signatures
• Advanced pieces (Minuets, Gavotte, etc.)
• Duet & Ensemble playing
• Performance & practice techniques
